Fruit Buyer’s Report | Fruitful Office January 2017

Dear All,

Happy New Year! January has arrived and our “winter mix” is now in full swing. To complement the core winter varieties that are found in our seasonal mix, we’ll be taking full advantage of the more unusual fruit coming into season over the coming weeks:

  • Winter varieties out in force
    • Lychees. This sweet and fragrant fruit has its origins in southern China. We'll be using a South African variety which is known to be exceptionally hight in vitamin C and have significant levels of potassium - a great natural mineral shown to help regulate blood pressure
    • Pink Lady apples. Sweeter than most other apples, the Pink Lady is harvested very late, giving it that unique sweet crunch
    • Oranges. You will be certain to find high levels of vitamin C in the Salustiana variety we are using
  • Kiwi fruit. Containing as much potassium as a banana and 1.5 times your DRI of vitamin C, kiwis are a healthy treat to be enjoyed during the winter

Have a fruitful 2017 everyone!

Fruitful Office team
