Taking a break by heading to the office fruit basket when the pressures get on top of you at work, is a great idea.
Office fruits like peaches and nectarines are rich in potassium, which has a beneficial effect on heartbeat and muscle contraction, as well as the balance of the nervous system, which means they’re the perfect fruits to eat at work to deal with a stressful day.
According to the Stress Management Society, natural ways of relieving and reducing stress are far better than using pharmaceutical methods.
Neil Shah, director of the society, said that using pharmaceutical or recreational drugs to treat illnesses can have side effects.
"If you respond to that state in its most natural way you can get out of stress very quickly and easily without having the need to resort to artificial substances."
According to Mr Shah, stress is "definitely" getting worse.
Office fruit fans will be pleased to know that other treats from the office fruit delivery can help reduce the symptoms of stress too, such as bananas, which have the added bonus of boosting your mood, according to mental health charity Mind.
