  2. Add your contact details and create an account with us (this will give you access to your client area)
  3. Set up your debit card details on the secure SagePay platform
  4. Each week, on each delivery day, you will receive your box

You can alter or pause/cancel the delivery at any point up to 12:00 noon two working days before delivery, by logging in to your client area on our website.

Our buying team hand-select our fresh produce from local fruit and vegetable markets before the break of dawn every morning. We carefully select the fruit and vegetable mixes to ensure it is of premium quality and has great taste. As the quality and availability of different fruit and vegetables varies each week, we prefer to select the mix to ensure that the quality is always premium! For example, sometimes we cannot find fresh clementines, and we prefer not to include them in the Boxes than to compromise the quality of our fruit. This makes it convenient for you as you can let our experts select the best-quality fruit and vegetables each week.

Our†fresh produce†buying team hand-select our†fruit and vegetables†carrying out visual, feel and taste checks to ensure they are†of premium quality, has great taste and is at the “breaking point of ripeness”. We only buy first-class category produce.

At the Fruitful Packhouse, all the fruit and vegetables†are visually quality-checked before being included in the Home Boxes. We also de-sticker the produce – this may seem like a small feature of our service, but it allows our team to check the†produce quality again before being placed in the Home Boxes. In transit, each Home Box is handled with the maximum care from the market to drop-off, so that it reaches you in perfect condition.

The Home Boxes are specially designed to protect the fruit and vegetables during transit and to be delivered with the maximum safety. The boxes are made from 100% recycled paper and are 100% recyclable and we would encourage you to recycle them.

Where possible we supply organic produce. However, due to its more limited supply, organic produce is hard to supply consistently in guaranteed quantities. As the availability of organic fruit increases, and as long as quality is not compromised, we intend to shift our mix towards it.

We do NOT buy air-freighted fruit and source locally where possible. However, do remember that not all fruit and vegetables can grow in the UK climate – these have to be imported from mostly close European countries, and in some cases from far away (remember: bananas have to be grown in tropical countries!).

The Service

When you set up your initial order you will be asked for to input your debit card details on a secure SagePay payment server (Fruitful Office does not store your card details). At this point payment will be taken for your first week’s worth of deliveries. Payment for each subsequent delivery will be automatically taken each week before your delivery (after the cut-off point for order changes: after midday, two business days before your delivery day).

You can easily update or change your debit card details by logging into your client area and navigating to ‘your payment details’. Please note that at this point you will be charged for one week’s worth of deliveries (which is how we authenticate your card). Subsequent deliveries will follow the usual payment process: two business days before your delivery day.

Sure! When you set up your order, your weekly delivery automatically becomes an ongoing order.

If you would like to stop the order at any point afterwards, please log into your client area, put the volume to “0” and confirm your changes.† Please remember you have to do this before your cut-off point as shown below.

This can be easily done when you set up your initial order.† The Client information should include your information, and the Delivery information should include the details of whoever will be receiving the Home Box.

At the moment we are only offering fruit and vegetable boxes but there will be additional healthy options available in the future.

Please log into your account and alter the delivery address. Please remember that this has to be done up to 48 hours prior to your delivery day.

Delivery

In short – pretty much all over the UK!† We can deliver to anywhere in the UK, except for the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and the smaller UK islands.

At any point between 8 am and 5 pm on your delivery day. Deliveries are more likely to arrive, however, in the morning up to 12:00 noon.

The price is ALL you pay. Delivery is FREE of charge, there is no additional VAT, or any other hidden charges.

During the designated delivery day, our driver will deliver your†Home Box according to the instructions in your stated Delivery Note on your account.

There is no need to be at home when we deliver, but please ensure that you have supplied us with instructions about a ‘safe place’ (see below) in which we can leave your order.

A ‘safe place’ is somewhere we can leave your order if you are not at home, ideally out of direct view and sheltered from the elements (e.g. rain, wind, direct sunlight). Some examples of appropriate safe places include:

  • A neighbour’s house/flat
  • Hidden in a lower ground floor area
  • Under an upturned recycling box
  • Under a bush/hedge
  • Behind a bin (as long as your delivery day doesn’t coincide with your bin collection day!)
  • A local shop
  • What if I live in a gated or secured property? Please contact us to discuss

Your produce is carefully packed in a sturdy and spacious cardboard box, with layer trays which have individual compartments for most of the produce to protect them from damage during transit.†

In addition, the external box is securely sealed at our packhouse before being despatched meaning full protection for the produce during transit.

As a business we operate under the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Contact Point) system and ISO-9001 quality standard, meaning we are following strict production and quality control procedures already.†† In response to COVID-19 we have further enhanced these controls.† Please see our attached risk management document with regards to this:

https://www.fruitfuloffice.co.uk/covid-19/risk-management/

The delivery is made by a partner courier company. They are adopting a ‘No Contact Delivery Practice’, which means you will not be required to personally sign the ePOD device or hard copy document, but will instead be required to provide you name verbally to the delivery driver whereby the driver will include this on the delivery record.

We are firmly committed to minimising waste going to landfill.

The box itself and all internal packaging are made from 100% recycled paper and are 100% recyclable. Simply crush and place in your paper recycling bin and help contribute to the circular economy!

For every box we deliver to you, we will plant 1 fruit tree.† For more information on this please see https://www.fruitfuloffice.co.uk/about-fruitful-office/planting-fruit-trees-in-africa/What-the-Planting-Fruit-Trees-in-Africa-campaign-is-all-about/95/

Queries & Concerns

We select the produce for our Home Boxes each week to reflect the season, the type of Home Box and the best value that we can achieve at the markets. You are free to switch the type of your Home Box from week to week, so try a few different options to find the one that you enjoy most. As a general rule, we buy seasonally – although there are some favourites that are readily available all year round.† Regretfully we cannot tailor your individual box to your preferences, otherwise the cost of the Home Boxes would go up.

Please find further down a complete list of the fruit and vegetables that we include.† I am afraid that we are unable to tailor the boxes to individual needs. Our recommendation is that either someone else in your house can safely remove them for you on arrival, or you may need to select a different box or stop the service altogether.

If you are at all disappointed with your Home Box, please don’t try to send it back to us. Please send us an e-mail within 12 hours of receiving your Home Box with photos of the damaged produce (e-mail provided in your order confirmation e-mail).

We have a 100% Fruitful Guarantee on each portion of fresh produce on arrival and will reimburse you for any damaged fruit or vegetable.

If you experience an issue, please contact our Customer Service team within 12 hours of box receipt. Assuming a refund is due back to you, it will be processed automatically as a deduction on your next weekly payment, so you don’t need to do anything. If you have decided to stop future orders, please let us know and we can process the refund directly back on to your card as soon as possible.

Each fruit and vegetable has a different ‘shelf life’, and depending on this, will start to become overripe at different stages each week. The general rule is that the warmer the environment the produce is in, the faster it will ripen.

We aim to deliver each fruit and vegetable at its ‘breaking point of ripeness’, which means that fruit and vegetables should arrive ripe and ready-to-eat whilst, at the same time, be as fresh as possible. Please remember that our 100% Fruitful Guarantee covers the fruit on arrival.

We would recommend you eat softer fruit and vegetables first and consider storing some of the softer fruit and vegetables in the fridge to extend shelf life.

We request that you allow our drivers sufficient time on the day of your delivery, as they often have many deliveries to make in a day and may be held up in traffic. If you have not received your delivery by 5 pm, please send our customer service team an e-mail (you will find our e-mail on your order confirmation e-mail).

If you suspect your delivery has been stolen, please let us know immediately.

If you cannot find the answer to your question here on our website, please contac us. Nothing is too trivial or too silly!
