National Business Awards finalist - Sustainable Business Award

Fruitful Office are proud to have been shortlisted as a finalist at this year’s Lloyds Bank National Business Awards which independently recognises, rewards and celebrates business success.

The Awards are the most prestigious and respected in the UK - David Cameron described the Awards as “truly the Oscars of great British business”.

We were nominated for The Grichan Partnership Sustainable Business Award for the organisation that can best demonstrate an outstanding commitment to sustainability. Judges were looking for evidence of how a sustainable approach has improved commercial performance, competitiveness, customer perception, staff engagement, and continued financial strength.

As a business, we have always held sustainability as core to everything we do:

  • Eco-basket fruit delivery service: over 99% of our fruit basket is biodegradable or recyclable
  • Corporate Social Responsibility: for every fruit basket we deliver - we plant one fruit tree (Planting Fruit Trees campaign)
  • Supporting our local community: some of our excess fruit is provided to various local schools and charitable groups throughout the UK
  • Fruit sourcing: focus on seasonality and no air-freighted fruit ever

This year’s ceremony was held on Tuesday 15th November at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London and attended by Daniel Ernst, Commercial Director.
