Planting Fruit Trees campaign update: April to June 2025
Expanding impact through education
At Kasamba Community Day Secondary School, the Environment Club, made up of 30 dedicated students, is actively involved in nurturing newly planted trees.
These students are ensuring the trees are well cared for, regularly watering them and clearing the surrounding areas of weeds. Some of the trees are being grown specifically for timber, offering long-term benefits to the school.
Tione Magomer, a Form 4 student and club member, shared her excitement: “This will help the school, as they will be able to sell the timber and use the money to buy resources to improve the school for everyone learning here.”
It’s inspiring to see young people taking ownership of the environment and contributing to a greener future.
